Description - This is a late 80s Memphis Storm Goalkeeper jersey. I suspect this is the actual player's jersey, but I found it at an estate sale so I do not know the full history of it. It just does not seem like a fan shirt to me. It has Gonzalez 31 on the back which is Daniel Gonzalez who was the Goalkeeper for the Memphis Storm from 1988-1989. He is an Argentinian soccer player who later coached as well. He signed the jersey on the front above the logo but it is kind of faint.
The Memphis Storm was an American soccer team based in Memphis, Tennessee which existed from 1986 to 1994. They underwent several names changes including the Rogues, the Survivors, the United Express and finally the Jackals. They played in the American Indoor Soccer Association and the Sunbelt Independent Soccer League, which later came to be known as the United States Interregional Soccer League.
